MUSIC & MOVEMENT CLASSES

FOR BABIES, TODDLERS AND

PRESCHOOLERS

Active participation in songs, finger plays, bounces, rhymes, instrument exploration, listening and movement activities will introduce you and your baby, toddler or preschooler to the joy of making music.

Children and parents alike are invited to play hand-held percussion instruments. They also see and hear how several instruments, such as the guitar, the ukulele, the flute, the recorder and the xylophone are played, as well as a hand drum and tambourine during the movement activities.

Each of the five terms between September and August offers you a lovely new repertoire of music and musical activities that you can also use at home.

VISION

That expecting parents will look forward to the time when their children will be able to participate

That they and their children will grow from their shared music experience

That they will look back on their music classes with fondness

That, as a result of their participation, making music together will become a joyful part of their day-to-day lives.

PROGRAM PHILOSOPHY

Dedicated to providing high quality early childhood music education, Making Music Meaningful emphasizes the joy derived from making music with others without the use of pre-recorded music.

The carefully-developed curriculum, based on the Royal Conservatory of Musicís principles of early childhood music education, is delivered to small groups in a nurturing, child-oriented environment. Class activities contribute to the development of the whole child by stimulating young childrenís social, emotional, cognitive and physical development.
