Please read through the below, and stay informed of policies and practices! Revisions were made summer 2018.
AGE GROUP - to determine the appropriate age group for your child, please use your child’s age at the start of the term. Exceptions can be considered to accommodate special circumstances or schedule conflicts. Please contact us to discuss your situation.
MISSED CLASSES - if you miss a class, please speak with the instructor to make arrangements. If the instructor cancels a class, a make-up class will be offered during the same term.
SIBLINGS & ADDITIONAL ADULTS - program fees cover one child and one adult companion. Siblings, who are 8 months or older as of the first day of the term, may attend either their sibling’s class or their own class at a 25% discount. Siblings, who are younger than 8 months as of the first day of the term, can either come along for free to their older sibling’s class or enjoy the 25% sibling discount if they attend the All-Ages class. Additional adult companions are welcome to attend from time to time as special guests, space permitting. Please check with the instructor in advance.
CANCELLATION - If you attend the first day and decide that the program is not for you, you can get a refund. There will be a $15 cancellation fee applied. However, while some children take to new environments quickly, others may need several classes to get accustomed to the program. As such, I strongly encourage you to attend at least two classes before withdrawing. If you feel that the program is not a good fit for you, you may request a pro-rated refund for the remaining classes up to and including the day of the third class of the term. For example, the last day to request a refund for a class that starts on Tuesday, September 3 is Tuesday, September 17. After three classes have lapsed, no further refunds will be offered.
SAFETY - Children must be accompanied by a parent or caregiver at all times. Making Music Meaningful attempts to ensure the safety and well-being of all participants. Please bring any medical or other important information to the attention of the teacher.
SERVICE FEES - Prices are based on children attending one class per week. A service fee may be levied on all cheques returned as Non Sufficient Funds (NSF), Stop Payment or Funds Not Cleared. There are no materials fees. Prices and policies are subject to change without notice.
TO PREVENT THE SPREAD OF INFECTIOUS DISEASE - All handheld instruments are washed after each and every use so that they are clean when they are offered to you and your child. Any participant who is sick (for example, has a fever or has vomited within the past 24 hours) is asked not to attend.
